1998 – Company set up by Brian Hodge and two associates at its existing premises on Greencroft Industrial Park with one Core Winding Machine (Line 1) and a Core Cutting Machine for secondary processing

2001 – Line 2 installed to increase capacity and meet ever increasing customer demands

2002 – Line 2

2009 – Line 3 installed due to alleviate capacity constraints and production bottlenecks

2012 – New warehouse building built on spare land within the site. Freed up factory space allows plans for a 4th line to proceed.

2013 – Line 4 installed increasing production capability by approx. 30%

2014 – Second Core Cutting Machine installed, more than doubling capacity for pre-cutting cores for customers, reducing lead times and allowing a greater flexibility in the core dimensions on offer

2015 – Gareth Ackroyd joins the company as General Manager. Company begins it’s “Lean Manufacturing journey” of implementing ways to maximise production efficiencies whilst reducing waste, production line downtime and production bottlenecks with a huge emphasis on “continuous improvement”

2020 – Company restructure results in Gareth Ackroyd becoming a director and co-owner alongside company founder / Managing Director Brian Hodge

2020 / 21 – Company is classified as an “essential business” during the Covid-19 pandemic. Customers manufacturing PPE, cleaning products and food packaging are prioritised during the pandemic to ensure the flow of the supply chain in critical industries

2021 – On-going refurbishment of company premises includes improving staff facilities, revamping the reception area and increasing the size and quality of lighting around the goods yard to allow greater flexibility in the loading and off-loading of trucks

2022 – Company invests in a new Core Cutting Machine to replace the original machine after 24 years of service. The new machine offers a wider range of flexibility and state of the art technology to increase efficiencies

2023 – Company signs a deal to swap out its fleet of gas-powered Forklift Trucks to full electric as part of its commitment to reducing its’ Carbon footprint. New trucks delivered in early 2024.

2024 – Line 1 undergoes a major refurbishment with minimal disruption to the customer base. The refurbishment includes a full electrical upgrade and the installation of modern drive technology to improve production line efficiencies and reduce energy consumption.
