Boardroom Changes

Corespec Ltd is pleased to announce the following changes to its boardroom structure.

Gareth Ackroyd has been promoted to the position of Managing Director from 1st April 2025. Gareth first joined the company as General Manager in January 2015 before becoming Operations Director and a shareholder in December 2020. With 25 years’ experience within manufacturing, Gareth’s strong background in Operations, Accountancy and Supply Chain Management has made him an ideal candidate to continue to drive the business forward in the long term.

Brian Hodge who had been Managing Director has taken up a new position as ‘Chairman & Founder’. Brian who was one of the original founders of Corespec Ltd in 1998 will take more of a back seat role from the day to day running of the business but will still play a role in guiding the business and ensuring its culture and values are upheld, as well as remaining a shareholder.

Speaking of the changes, Brian commented:

“The time is right to make these changes to coincide with our new financial year. Between Gareth, Michael Smith (General Manager) and Connor Ratcliffe (Production Manager) there is almost 40 years’ worth of experience within core manufacturing, but their ambition, enthusiasm and diligent working practices will bode the company very well into the future. It is very important that as the company moves into this new era it is in safe hands with a management team that is genuinely passionate about the business and maintains the very strong relationships with all customers, suppliers and support services that have been built up over the past 27 years. I would like to thank Gareth, Michael and Connor for their contribution to Corespec Ltd over the years and helping mould it into the company it is today”.
